Volkswagen puts a name on its new affordable SUV

The carmaker has released a short teaser video showing the coupe-shaped crossover Nivus, which will debut next year in Brazil and ship to all of Latin America.

Based on the trimmed-down version of the MQB-A0 platform of the newest T-Cross and Polo, the car will likely inherit some of their engines as well.

The premiere and production start are scheduled for spring 2020. While not official, rumors persist that the VW Nivus will be cheaper than the T-Cross and eventually also become available in countries outside of Latin America.
