Wuling Bingo premieres in China

The SAIC-GM-Wuling joint enterprise is having a blast selling its Wuling Mini EV, with 554,000 units sold in China in 2022 alone. Now, the company has its eyes set on the B+ segment of the market with a similar model named the Wuling Bingo.

It is a small hatchback with retro styling cues and dimensions close to the Toyota Yaris. The 15-inch wheels it is riding on are larger than usual for the B+ class. The base trim level includes a reversing camera, two displays on the dash, and an HVAC control panel with three knobs.

Underpinning the body is a simplistic electric vehicle chassis featuring semi-dependent rear suspension. The only motor available drives the front wheels with 41 PS (40 hp / 30 kW). As for the batteries, there are two options rated for 203 and 333 kilometers of range (126 and 207 miles, respectively). The kilowatt-hour capacity is not stated anywhere.

Wuling promises to start sales before the end of Q1 2023.
