The Zeekr 001 EV is available for ordering on its domestic market with more power, technology and faster charging. Prices now start from 269,800 CNY before incentives, just 10,000 Chinese Yuan above the old version despite the numerous improvements.
Interestingly, the base spec costs the same regardless of whether you choose one or two electric motors. The single-motor version has 503 PS (496 hp / 370 kW) and a 103-kWh battery pack. The dual-motor one boasts a massive power advantage with 925 PS (912 hp /680 kW), but makes do with a smaller 95-kWh battery. As such, it doesn’t cover more than 640 km (397 miles) on a charge, but at least it reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.83 seconds.
The top spec ships with dual motors, the bigger 103-kWh battery mentioned above and max out at 329,800 CNY. The range is manufacturer-estimated at 730–762 km (453–473 miles) based on your other choices.
Support for 900V current means the car is eligible for ultrafast charging outlets. Topping up from 10 to 80% only takes 7–10 minutes, Zeekr claims.
The size of the car stays the same despite a new front bumper and redesigned headlights. Optional air-ride suspension can be installed to grant you up to 206 mm (8 inches) of ground clearance when needed.
Standard interior features include a 16-inch infotainment display, a 39.3-inch HUD and an audio system upgradable to 29 speakers. Highly comfortable seats with power adjustments and improved massage are listed as extra, and the top trims enjoy access to an ADAS package based on a Thor-U chipset capable of 700 TOPS.
