Audi to rely on China-made ADS tech

The new Audi A5 will ship with a semi-autonomous driving system called Qiankun ADS 3.0, designed by Huawei in China.

Such car brands as Stelato and Luxeed are already using this technology, but both receive direct technical assistance from the Chinese IT giant. Audi will be the first foreign carmaker to rely on the Qiankun ADS 3.0.

Only the A5 models destined for the China market and produced at the FAW-Volkswagen joint enterprise will be affected for the time being, but other markets might follow suit in the future.
