Audi RS6 Avant goes wild thanks to tuners

In January, HGP launched the Stage 1 kit for the C8 Audi RS6 Avant. Now, the Stage 2 kit is here with even more performance at stake.

The first package pushed the family hauler straight into supercar territory with its 786 hp (586 kW) and 1,061 Nm (783 lb-ft) of torque. The Stage 2 improves upon these in a remarkable fashion, squeezing 962 hp (717 kW) and 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) out of the stock engine. The tuner emphasizes that the air intake system drew in lots of hot air at the Maha factory where the dyno stand was situated, resulting in a performance drop. In other words, we should safely expect more than 1,000 hp (745 kW) to reach the wheels under good conditions.

The acceleration times posted seem to confirm this. The HGP Audi RS6 Avant only needs 2.8 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph), and only 8.3 seconds to 200 km/h (124 mph). This elevates it straight into the Hall of Fame where such champions as the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari 488 Pista reside. 'Family car', anyone?...
