Changan and Huawei’s automotive sub-brand Avatr has announced its next production car: the 07. It’s based on the prototype known as the Avatr 15 and will ship in two main flavors: EV and range-extender hybrid.
Compared to the Avatr 11 model already on sale, the 07 has a very similar front end but is smaller in size. Specifically, it is sized 4,825 x 1,980 x 1,620 mm with 2,940 mm between the axles. In terms of body shape, it resembles a traditional SUV more than it does a coupe.
The interior has only cropped up in a single spy photo so far. It looks much like that of the marque’s second production car – the Avatr 12 liftback.
It’s already official that the 07 will ship in two variants – battery-electric and serial hybrid (with a petrol engine providing electricity for the main motor or motors). Buyers will be able to choose between RWD and AWD. The company promises us a next-gen semi-autonomous driving system developed by Huawei based on LiDAR tech, and says the batteries will come from CATL.
The expected price range is 250,000–350,000 Yuan.
