Bentley Continental GT Convertible tries on a wasp suit for Christmas

It has been 13 years since Mansory began playing around with bold and occasionally gaudy car colors, shocking the fans with a shrill-pink Continental GT dubbed ‘Vitesse Rose’. The tuning company has now produced a one-off continuation car to pay homage to the original.

The unique Mansory Vitesse Continental GTC comes finished in a carefully weighted combination of yellow and black, with the yellow inching out a narrow advantage. This makes it look like a wasp, which the design team behind the project clearly emphasizes with the sharp, stinger-like accents and outlines, the radiator grille and the eye-like headlamps. Accents like yellow brake calipers at the black side and Vitesse badges round off the daredevil styling. ‘Vitesse’ if French for ‘speed’, by the way.

Knowing Mansory, it would be odd to expect the engine to remain stock. As a matter of fact, the mill receives 200 extra horses and now pumps out 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) along with 1,020 Nm (752 lb-ft) of torque. Despite its sheer bulk and aerodynamically poor topless design, the roadster snaps off the start line and hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds. Its acceleration potential maxes out at 332 km/h (206 mph).
