The Buick LaCrosse has been a China-only car since it dropped out of production in the United States in 2019. It has now transitioned into its fourth generation. Care to take a look?
The Chinese GM branch has revised the entire exterior, giving the car a shark’s-nose front end, fang-like headlight sections and a radiator grille styled as a gaping maw. The range-topping Avenir trim is still available and brings along its own grille design, more chrome elements all around, special 19-inch wheels and matrix headlights.
Inside, there is a single dashboard display spanning 30 inches that combines the instrument cluster and the head unit. The Avenir spec alone comes with extended rim lighting.
Customers in China can choose from two four-cylinder turbos rated at 180 and 237 PS (178 and 234 hp; 132 and 174 kW, respectively). The transmission is nine-speed automatic for both engines.
The sales are set to begin in the summer.
