Chinese automaker Changan has released some images of its Qiyuan sub-brand’s firstborn crossover SUV, the Q05. Sales will start any day now, Car News China reports.
The crossover runs on a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 110 PS (108 hp / 81 kW) and an electric motor adding 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW). It consumes 5.3 liters of petrol per 100 km on average, which corresponds to 44.4 MPG. The all-electric range defaults to 60 km (37 miles), but can be expanded to 125 km (77 miles) with an optional large battery. The combined hybrid range amounts to 1,215 km (755 miles).
The new Qiyuan Q05 is 4,539 mm (177.3 inches) long with 2,656 mm (103.7 in) between the axles. Like the company’s CS55 Plus model (see video), it has an interior with a 10-inch digital display and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The rest of the passenger space also looks very similar.
