Haval’s bulky H10 SUV arrives in showrooms in China

On its domestic market, the hulking Haval H10 is only available with five or six seats, despite the latter version being whopping 5.3 meters (208.6 inches) long. Prices start around 215,000 Yuan and reach 235,000 Yuan in the top trim.

The five-seater is slightly shorter at 5,138 millimeters (202.3 inches) long. Both have the same 3 meters (118.1 inches) of wheelbase and 220 mm (8.7 inches) of ground clearance. Advanced adaptive suspension allows sideways driving a.k.a. Crab Mode, and the company boasts that the H10 can wade water up to 600 mm (23.6 inches) high. It’s worth noting, though, that the SUV lacks a dedicated frame and instead runs on a unibody platform not exactly ideal for such applications.

For the power, the new Haval flagship relies on a 1.5-liter IC engine rated at 167 PS (165 hp / 122 kW) and two electric motors. Their combined output of 598 PS (590 hp / 440 kW) enables the H10 to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.9 seconds. WLTC-rated all-electric range reaches 180 kilometers (112 miles) under the best conditions.

Feature-wise, customers get a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a HUD and a ceiling-mounted TV for the rear rows as standard. Drivers can take advantage of an ADAS package underpinned by a LiDAR and 27 other sensors.
