Hongqi releases all EH7 specs and pricing info

The large electric saloon known as the Hongqi EH7 will be coming to the market in China in five trim levels offering a choice between RWD and AWD and three battery sizes. Prices will range from 229,800 to 209,800 Yuan (U.S. $31,900–43,000). Once out, the car will compete against the BYD Han, the Rising F7 and the still-to-be-released Xiaomi SU7.

The EH7 is the first project the Hongqi’s New Energy sub-brand carried out since gaining independence in early 2023. It is a sedan 4,980 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,490 mm tall with three meters between the axles. The platform it runs on is known as the FME.

The trim naming scheme refers to the CLTC-rated driving ranges. The cheapest version, the EH7 600 Pro, packs a 75-kWh battery rated for 600 km (373 miles) of driving per charge. It produces 344 PS (339 hp / 253 kW), sending them to the rear axle.

The middle-ground spec is called 690 Pro and benefits from a larger 85-kWh battery rated for 690 km (428 miles). Rounding off the RWD lineup is the 820 Pro, which packs 111 kilowatt-hours of energy storage and gets 820 km (509 miles) from a full charge.

The AWD variants are called 640 Pro+ and 760 Pro+. In addition to the same rear-axle motor, they get a front-axle one for an extra 278 PS (274 hp / 204 kW). The peak combined output amounts to 619 PS (611 hp / 455 kW).

The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time is specified as 5.8 seconds for all RWD variants and 3.5 seconds for both AWD ones. Support for 365kW charging means you can top up the battery from 10 to 80% in 20 minutes. Just five minutes at a sufficiently powerful charger will give you 200 km (124 miles) of range.
