The recently facelifted Hyundai Elantra now has a 'hot' N version coming to the market with a sported-up exterior, tweaked suspension and a boosted engine. It is expected to become available on all key markets later this year, although the dates are still pending.
Based on the photos, the main exterior feature of the N version is its sophisticated-looking aero kit parts and bumpers highlighted in red. There is also a rear diffusor and a modest-sized rear wing in the mix. Original 19-inch wheels and two large exhaust finishers round off the sporty look.
All engine-related info remains to be revealed. One guess is that the Elantra N may keep its turbo four-cylinder engine it has been using for the past few years, sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.3 seconds. Since the original is rated at 290 PS (286 hp / 213 kW), the boosted version should at least make it to 300 horsepower.
