Austrian niche automaker KTM has made some minor changes to its X-Bow GT-XR model. All customers still waiting on their orders will automatically get this upgraded version.
Among other things, the company found that the carbon-fiber footrest it initially went with was too slippery and easy to tarnish. A new footrest CNC-machined from aluminum was installed instead, and all other carbon trim bits in the cabin were coated with a sealant.
Alcantara seats were revised along with the glove compartment door, the center console trim and the badges all around. Those who would a little bit extra may order an engine bay plaque with the outlines of the car depicted on it next to its unique serial number and the words “Handmade in Austria”.
The rest of the car stays stock, including the entire powertrain. KTM didn’t mention any price updates; the original version started from €319,000.
100 examples of the car have been made so far. All cars from number 101 onwards will be getting the full scope of updates listed above.
