British automaker Lotus is gradually moving towards full electrification, but plenty of its older fans won’t have anything like that. To understand just why so many people still prefer ICE cars, a look at this custom Lotus Exige should be enough.
It took six months to tune the sports car to perfection. It ended up with flared fenders, a new front splitter, bumpers, hood and trunk lid, and a large fixed rear wing. Lightweight HRE R101LW wheels slotted into the arches.
The interior received relatively minor tweaks, mostly to bring it in line with the violet and yellow exterior. Much happened in the engine department, though, where Komo Tech put a Phase Work 490 turbo kit. The mods let the engine churn out 470 PS (464 hp / 346 kW) and up to 519 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. Considering that the coupe weighs only around 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs) stock, it should now have plenty of power for track day driving.
