2026 Haval Dagou facelift touches down in China

Soon after posting the first teasers and letting some spy shots leak online, Haval has officially unveiled the updated Dargo/Dagou. Much like the Tank 300 before it, the SUV has mostly been updated from the inside, staying unchanged on the outside and under the hood. Preorders will open later this month, so let’s have a look.

On the exterior side of things, the radiator grille now sports a new pattern but retains its recognizable rectangular shape. The U-shaped taillights debuted last year, but have now been complemented with “GWM” lettering. Two new finishes – a metallic grey and a metallic green – have been added to the list.

The biggest transformations took place in the cabin. The most noticeable one is an infotainment system now running on Coffee OS 3 offering a much wider feature set than its predecessor did. While the old car has a 12.3-inch infotainment display integrated in the dashboard, the new one has a 14.6-inch standalone screen, as well as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Haval claims the front seats are now more comfortable than ever. The same should apply to the steering wheel, which now has two spokes and a transmission selector on the column. As for the large vertical climate vents and the handle in front of the front passenger, these have been preserved as is.

Like its predecessor, the 2026 Haval Dagou will go on sale with a 1.5-liter turbo engine rated at 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW) and a 2.0-liter mill capable of 238 PS (235 hp / 175 kW). The former can only use a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the latter benefits from a nine-speed automatic and AWD.
