The Toyota GR Yaris is arguably dynamic enough in its factory guise, but rally pros have high requirements. The red hatchback pictured here undergoes a complete rebuild at Dytko Sport (Poland) so that it may be used in a variety of motorsport events next season.
The stock turbo three-pot now links to a new six-speed sequential transmission by Drenth and has differentials on both axles. The output hasn’t been mentioned yet, but we expect a sizable boost over the stock 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW).
The interior retains most of its original trim but gains an FIA-certified safety cage, OMP buckets with appropriate belts, carbon-fiber door cards and an automatic fire extinguisher. The steering wheel, the digital dash and the gear shifter are new as well.
It remains to be seen where this particular car may be used in the future, but the Polish tuner has an extensive list of similar builds in its portfolio (watch the short video for an example). As such, we are looking forward to seeing it on the rally tracks of Europe next year.
