Fiat CEO Olivier Francois admitted that there were talks about bringing the iconic Punto hatchback back onto the market.
The original Punto saw the daylight in 1993. It proceeded to have three generations and bowed out of production in 2018. Speaking about the hypothetical fourth generation, Francois said it could become a “sleeker” and “sportier” alternative to the current Fiat 600 and Grande Panda.
He emphasized that the company won’t consider developing such a car unless it notices a considerable interest towards it from the mass consumer.
