Novelties
Volkswagen has added a new affordable crossover to its Brazil and Argentina lineups. Called the Tera, it is set to go on sale in May.
The car shown in the previews is wearing 17-inch alloy wheels, but we are told that the base trim will make do with steelies. Opting for the top trim will get you a PlayConnect infotainment system with a 10-inch display, a single-zone HVAC, ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad and some driving aids.
From the technical perspective, the car shares most of its units with the Polo and T-Cross currently made in Brazil. It runs on the MQB-A0 front-wheel-drive platform and uses a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbo engine rated at 116 PS (114 hp / 87 kW). The transmission is six-speed automatic.
