Acura Integra shaping up to be the marque’s last ICE car

It looks like the Integra will enter the records as the gasoline epilogue of Acura, which will then switch to producing exclusively all-electric vehicles, Automotive News reports quoting brand representative, Emile Korkor.

According to Korkor, the latest Integra should help Acura expand its customer base before committing to full electrification. The plan is to skip all hybrid tech and instead focus on making all-electric cars, the first of which is envisioned as a crossover SUV running on the Ultium platform by General Motors.

He added that most Integra buyers opt for the A-Spec version with an extra pack of tech upgrades, because this is the only version that supports six-speed manual transmission.

Production of the car started at Honda’s Marysville factory in early May, with the first dealership deliveries set for June.
