The latest video from AutoTopNL features a 1990 Audi 200 I5 Turbo that was equipped with the company’s signature turbo five-pot and Quattro AWD when it left the factory, but has been tuned to more than double the original power since then.
In its factory form, the engine churned out 217 PS (214 hp / 160 kW). A slew of mods helped raise its the output to a cool 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW). The granddaddy-on-steroids then hit a freeway in Germany to see how fast it could go 33 years in. Watch it yourself or read on for spoilers.
In short, the Audi 200 was able to reach 240 km/h (149 mph). To put things into perspective, that’s about the same as the top speed of the latest Audi S6.
