AUDI, a Chinese domestic branch of Audi AG that doesn’t use the four-ring badge and writes its name in all capitals, has disclosed the main specs of a production SUV coming to the market soon. It is based on the E SUV Concept revealed earlier (see video) and is called the E7X. Sales will begin in the first half of 2026.
The vehicle is 5,049 mm (197.2 inches) long, 1,997 mm (78 inches) wide and 1,710 mm (66.8 inches) tall with 3,060 mm (119.5 inches) between the axles. As such, it apparently slots above the company’s first production car, the E5 Liftback, becoming the de-facto flagship of its lineup.
Customers will be choosing between RWD and AWD. The former version relies on a single e-motor driving the rear wheels with 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) and 500 nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. The latter gets an extra 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) at the front end. CATL supplies the batteries, while SAIC Group makes the motors.
Judging by what’s been revealed so far, the production car looks almost indistinguishable from the concept. It features a well-rounded front end, a matching rear end, low and sporty body outlines, and rather elaborate-looking wheels. The interior remains to be revealed.
