ICE cars aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, BMW says

According to multiple executives of BMW, the traditional fossil-fuel car market will continue to coexist alongside hybrids and electric vehicles for many, many years.

As such, the Bavarian company is convinced that its mission lies in developing and updating all manner of powertrains, not just those considered “innovative” by the EV early adopter crowd.

Aside from this, the automaker has implemented an interesting solution for reducing fabrication costs across the board. Rather than building separate factories for EVs and ICE cars, the company will continue to assemble all vehicles on the same industrial lines using the same equipment, so that it can adjust its production flexibly if the market situation ever changes.
