The famous BMW specialist from Germany has posted a video dedicated to its latest project, the Manhart MH4 900. It uses the extreme M4 CSL coupe as the starting point and manages to almost double its horsepower output, along with improving handling and downforce.
Working with the stock 3.0-liter S58 six-banger, the tuner took it from 550 PS (542 hp / 405 kW) all the way to 922 PS (909 hp / 678 kW). The torque simultaneously went up from 650 to 1,190 Newton-meters (from 479 to 878 lb-ft, respectively). This was largely accomplished with the help of new turbos and forged engine internals.
Manhart never published any sprint times, but the standard M4 CSL manages its 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) run in 3.7 seconds. We’d expect the tuned one to be good for a sub-3-second sprint, but don’t quote us on that.
On the outside, the car stands out thanks to an added front spoiler, a large rear diffuser, longer side skirts and a ducktail spoiler on the trunk lid. It also rocks carbon-fiber mirror covers, the tuner’s signature pale gold decals, and rather nice-looking multi-spoke wheels.
The MH4 900 was actually announced a few months ago, but this is the first time we see it featured in a video. For pricing, you’ll need to contact Manhart directly.
