Video: Bugatti Divo vs. Tesla Model S Plaid

Coming in at U.S. $6,000,000 and limited to a handful of units worldwide, the Bugatti Divo is no more common on the street than unicorns are. Still, if you are dead set on seeing one, going to Dubai raises your chances above zero. A quarter-mile drag race between multiple supercars took place there the other day, and we even have footage of it courtesy of Brooks of DragTimes.

To recap, the Divo exists in 40 examples in the world and outdoes even the formidable Bugatti Chiron it is based upon when it comes to downforce and lateral G loads. Powering it is an eight-liter, quad-turbo W16 engine pumping out 1,500 PS (1,479 hp / 1,103 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque.

This makes the Divo an ultimate supercar eater on the drag strip. The Porsche 911 Turbo S pales in comparison despite being one of the fastest sports cars out there. But there is one rival all ICE car drivers shudder to think about, and that is the Tesla Model S Plaid. Surely the Divo can outpace the electric upstart in a straight-line race, right? Right?

Watch the video, you will be impressed.
