J.D. Power China has published the results of another study dedicated to the quality of new cars. According to it, the bar has risen compared to the last year’s average.
A team of experts studies a number of vehicles across different categories that are sold in China. For example, the top-3 premium brands are still Porsche, Lexus and Cadillac. Honda was proclaimed the most reliable manufacturer of mass-market cars (both its GAC and Dongfeng joint enterprises). The third place was shared between SAIC Buick and FAW Toyota.
Among Chinese brands, Chery, Geely and GAC claimed the first, second and third places, respectively. Chery also ranked fifth in the list of international mass-market carmakers.
The last year’s national leader in quality car production, Changan, dropped from first to fourth place, and Haval landed at the bottom of the list.
