The new Chery Arrizo 8 sedan comes equipped with an in-house-designed eight-speed automatic transmission, but only if you opt for the flagship spec starting from 148,900 Yuan – roughly 20,000 Yuan above the old DCT version.
The new transmission is called “Fuzhen” and comes bundled with a 2.0T engine rated at 254 PS (250 hp / 186 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque. It takes the car from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in seven seconds flat.
All other Arrizo 8 variants, including the 1.6T version rated at 197 PS (194 hp / 145 kW), have also been refreshed for the new model year. The infotainment now runs on a Snapdragon 8155 chipset, the front passenger seat offers four-way power adjustments, and the trunk can be opened with a voice command. Customers also get to enjoy a wider selection of exterior colors and driving assists. The design and the layout stay largely unchanged.
