Dodge Challenger spawns another anniversary edition

Dodge celebrated the 50th birthday of its iconic Challenger muscle car last year by releasing the so-called 50th Anniversary Edition (see video for details). The total production run was capped at 1,960 units coming in four trim levels and seven colors (i.e., 70 units per combination). Today, the company released another one, and the production run is unlimited so far.

The new Challenger 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition only comes in three trim levels and fewer paint schemes. The black hood cover lacks its usual motor dome, but the 20-inch Gold School wheels are identical to those of the 50th Anniversary version.

The manufacturer promises us Nappa leather and Alcantara in the cabin, as well as contrast-rich stitching, numbers “50” on the seat backs, carbon fiber details, and a dashboard with yellow gauges and white numbers.

Pre-order books are already open for the new coupe, which comes at a $4,995 – $5,495 premium over the standard version (U.S. $39,900 – $51,485 total).
