Film studio Neon has shared the first trailer of a biographic movie dedicated to the founder of the Ferrari S.p.A., Enzo Ferrari. It is directed by Michael Mann and stars Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari. The first screening will take place on December 25, 2023.
The movie takes the viewers back to the late 1950s, when the founder of the legendary sports car brand faced one terrible misfortune after another. His company was about to go bankrupt, his son Dino died, and his marriage was about to fall apart.
In the face of all the adversity, Enzo still resolves to take part in the Mille Miglia endurance marathon and ends up taking the entire podium by storm. That’s how the biopic twists it, at least: actual historical evidence suggests that one of the cars fell out of the race following a crash that injured over 30 bystanders. It doesn’t look like that scene is in the movie, though.
