Car Tuning

Marvel at this 1,500-HP Ferrari F12 with dual turbos peeking from under the hood

Even by the standards of tuning projects, this Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is about as exotic and extreme as they get.

Responsible for the build is none other than Aaron Kaufmann, host of the Daily Driven Exotics channel on YouTube. He began working on the car last year and has finally taken it out on the roads now.

In its stock form, the F12 draws its 740 PS (730 hp / 544 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque from a 6.3-liter V12. It sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.1 seconds and tops out at 340 km/h (211 mph). This tuned example is testimony to the fact that some people just cannot be satisfied with anything OEM, ever.

Squeezing dual turbos under the hood of the car was impossible at first, so Aaron rearranged most of the engine bay internals and moved the throttle bodies aside to follow through with his original intention. He ultimately had to cut out openings in the hood for those turbines, but the result doesn’t look half bad. The setup should be capable of around 1,500 horsepower (1,120 kilowatts), but no dyno measurements have been made yet.

Watch the two videos featuring the turbocharged Berlinetta strutting in front of a dazzled crowd and tell us what you think about this build.
