Novelties
Nearly a year after the initial announcement, Ford has released the specifications of the Mustang GTD – the world’s most powerful mass-produced muscle car right now.
Packing a 5.2-liter V8 under the hood allows the GTD to slam the wheels with 826 PS (816 hp / 608 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. That’s by far the horsepower-to-weight ratio of any production Mustang in history. Unsurprisingly, the car can reach 325 km/h (202 mph) and has its sights set on making a sub-7-minute Nurburgring run. The attempt is scheduled for the final quarter of the year.
In the United States, the new ‘Stang flaunts a supercar-level sticker of $325,000 before options. The first deliveries will be made before the end of the year, Ford says.
