Geely has unveiled the latest entry of its Galaxy lineup: the TT, a sporty-looking electric saloon capable of competing with Xiaomi’s SU7.
The newcomer is 4,999 mm (196.8 inches) long, 1,919 mm (75.6 inches) wide and 1,479 mm (58.9 inches) tall with 2,920 mm (115 inches) between the axles. Like many Chinese performance EVs, it does much to look like a modern Porsche while throwing some tech quirks into the deal. For example, the rear wing adjusts itself automatically based on acceleration.
Geely positions the Galaxy TT as a youth-oriented model. The maximum trunk size doesn’t exceed 528 liters (18.65 cubic feet), but a 110-liter (3.88-cu.ft.) frunk is also available.
The interior looks like that of any other recent Galaxy EV, but with some departures from the formula. For instance, the digital dash display is rounded here for some reason, and there is an analog timepiece on the center console. A heads-up display with AR features is also listed under available equipment.
In its 2WD form, the sedan uses a single electric motor rated at 333 PS (328 hp / 245 kW). The AWD variant uses dual motors and gets 578 PS (570 hp / 425 kW). Customers get three battery pack sizes to choose from, the largest reportedly enough for 725 kilometers (450 miles) per charge.
Sales start in August. All prices are pending, but most local media agree they will fall into the Xiaomi SU7 ballpark.
