According to the Chinese Ministry of Industry, the next-gen Geely Boyue L (Atlas L) will ship with two gasoline powertrains and a hybrid one to choose from.
In its most affordable form, the long-wheelbase SUV will get a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive. This engine is new and replaces an old 1.5-liter three-pot. Weighing in at 1,571 kilos (3,463 pounds), it maxes out at 195 km/h (121 mph).
Next up the line is a 2.0-liter turbo option with 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW) at the crank and a top speed of 215 km/h (133 mph). The curb weight is specified as 1,610 or 1,645 kilos (3,550 – 3,627 lbs), which might mean that the buyers will be able to choose between FWD and AWD.
Rounding off the trio is a hybrid incorporating a turbo three-pot with 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW), a single electric motor and a small battery not chargeable from external sources. This one is the heaviest at 1,740 kg (3,836 lbs) and hits its speed ceiling at a manufacturer-rated 175 km/h (108 mph).
The standard equipment pack includes a 13.6-inch vertical infotainment display. Paying extra unlocks a heads-up display with a 25.6-inch projected image, an 11-speaker Harman Infinity audio system, and heated/ventilated front seats.
