Geely puts a price on the Galaxy A7

The shiny new Geely Galaxy A7 is on its way to the showrooms in China, and the final retail price is once again lower than the preorder estimates.

According to CarNewsChina, the base spec will only set you back 89,800 Yuan. This version of the hybrid sedan makes do with an 8.5-kWh battery pack rated for 70 km (43 miles) of all-electric range. A higher trim starts from 95,800 Yuan, and the top trim comes in at 105,800 Yuan before options.

As an alternative, you can consider an 18.4-kWh battery pack giving up to 150 km (93 miles) of range per charge. This spec has four trim levels priced from 105,800 to 125,800 Yuan.

Customers are choosing from six exterior finishes and three fit-and-finish schemes. The digital dashboard stays fixed at 10.2 inches of diagonal size, but the main infotainment display can be upgraded from 14.6 to 15.4 inches. A 16.6-inch heads-up display and a 16-channel audio system are listed under options as well.

Even in its most basic spec, the Galaxy A7 packs five cameras and two radars for limited ADAS functionality. Those interested in more semi-autonomous practicality can choose a higher trim and get the Geely G-Pilot H3 package comprising 11 cameras, three radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors and a Journey 6 processing chipset. The front seats have heating, ventilation and massage included as standard, and the car actively tries to reduce rolling while braking via a feature called CST 2.0.

All power comes from the EM-i AI Super Hybrid 2.0 powertrain described as “AI-powered” and “super-economical”. It uses a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 112 PS (110 hp / 82 kW) and a 238-PS (235-hp / 175-kW) electric motor. The engine has a heat efficiency of 47.26%, which Geely calls best-in-class. OEM-rate fuel economy averages at 2.67 liters per 100 kilometers, or 88 miles per U.S. gallon.
