The Chinese automaker’s latest full-size sedan EV shares the moniker with Audi’s iconic sports car for no apparent reason. Let’s take a glance at the spec sheet while there’s still no reveal date.
According to the country’s Ministry of Industry database, the Geely Galaxy TT is 4,999 mm (196.8 inches) long, 1,919 mm (75.6 inches) wide and 1,479 mm (58.2 inches) tall with 2,920 mm (115 inches) between the axles. Coincidentally, the all-electric Xiaomi SU7 saloon has very similar dimensions and a very similar exterior as well. Still, based on the patent application, the TT rides on Geely’s own platform and is unrelated to the Xiaomi. It’s the same platform the Galaxy E8 is based upon (see video).
Buyers will be choosing between two powertrains: RWD with 333 PS (328 hp / 245 kW) and AWD with 578 PS (570 hp / 425 kW). The latter will be marginally faster, but still capped at 210 km/h (130 mph). All battery and range specifications remain to be revealed.
We expect more details about the Galaxy TT to emerge soon, so stay tuned.
