Great Wall has apparently begun testing the next installment in its Tank SUV series, the 700. The launch date is still unannounced, so let’s have a look at the photos in the meantime.
Overall, the car seems to be a slightly dumbed-down version of the Tank 700 Concept shown at the Shanghai Auto Expo last year (see video). The body outlines and headlights are now more recognizable, but the novel pillars and bumpers are still there.
Inside, there are recessed analog gauges instead of a simple digital dash (same as concept) and a center display that looks even larger than it was when the show car debuted.
Details are scarce at this point, but looking back at the other Tank models, we would expect the 700 to ship with a 3.0-liter petrol turbo engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel-drive system, and integrated frame.
