Haval Raptor pricing announced for China

Chinese automaker Haval will start selling its rugged-looking Raptor SUV on the domestic market on October 10, 2023. The base price is 160,000 Yuan.

The Raptor is a hybrid crossover utility vehicle designed in the same vein as the Dargo and based on the same architecture. It is bigger than the Dargo and comes with two hybrid powertrains to choose between, both based on a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The cheaper option produces a healthy 378 PS (373 hp / 278 kW) and has 102 km (63 miles) of all-electric range.

The more expensive spec delivers 384 PS (379 hp / 282 kW) to the wheels and benefits from an all-wheel drive system with a differential lock at the rear axle. Perhaps more importantly, it uses a larger 27.5-kWh traction battery instead of the standard 19.1-kWh one, which gives it up to 145 km (90 miles) of range per charge.

Interior highlights include a 13.2-inch digital dash, a tablet-shaped infotainment system and a heads-up display.
