A client known only by their family name, Sheikh, as taken delivery of Hennessey’s first Venom F5-M Roadster. The hypercar packs 2,060 PS (2,031 hp / 1,515 kW), yet comes strictly with a manual transmission, so it’s not for the faint-hearted.
A 6.6-liter Fury V8 takes advantage of two high-end turbos and other top-of-the-line internals to slam the transmission with 1,959 Newton-meters (1,445 lb-ft) of torque. In order to smoothen out the power delivery to the rear axle, Hennessey claims it had to fine-tune the ECU and the clutch.
There’s no mistaking this example in the crowd thanks to its predominantly purple carbon-fiber body with silver pinstripes and the occasional insert of naked carbon. It rides on gold-hued forged wheels and makes use of a racing-grade roof scoop said to improve handling from 200 mph (322 km/h) onwards.
Only 12 such vehicles will be made in total. The starting price is $2,650,000, but we’d expect Hennessey to prioritize highly customized orders in the queue, so this example might as well have cost Sheikh north of $3 million to purchase.
