Honda updates its logo

The Japanese automaker has finally confirmed its new badge design for all electrified and all-electric vehicles made from 2027 onwards.

The emblem isn’t completely new – it still uses a stylized depiction of the Latin letter ‘H’. Moreover, you could have seen it on one of Honda’s race cars or show concepts dating all the way back to 2024. It’s a completely flat and modern-looking badge that’s supposed to be used with a backlight on all cars.

The impending Honda 0 SUV will be the first vehicle to bring the new logo to the road. An unnamed sedan will be the second. All in all, Honda plans to launch 13 new hybrid vehicles until 2031 based on the latest revision of its e:HEV powertrain, and all 13 will wear this badge.

Aside from that, the new H will adorn the company’s authorized dealerships and track-only vehicles designed by its motorsports division. The one thing that’s missing from the press release is whether it will also be installed on traditional ICE cars; for all we know, they might retain the old logo.

Honda has been using a stylized letter H as its official emblem since 1963. The previous refresh was in 2001, a quarter of a century ago.
