Honda bringing 2 new EVs to the Japan Mobility Show

The Japanese automaker will be attending the show opening on October 30th with a pair of all-electric “0 Series” concepts – an SUV destined to become a production car for the North American market and a compact hatchback for the Asian region.

In the meantime, Honda has posted just one teaser image – a 3D rendering of its future show booth. It has multiple covered vehicles including two already known 0 Series models – an SUV and a sedan. At least, that’s our best guess based on their shapes and proportions. The smaller SUV between them looks like something the company hasn’t announced yet, so we are looking forward to it.

Farther down the stage, a compact city hatchback with a rather unusual slanted rear end can be seen. In the accompanying description, Honda doesn’t reveal many details but describes it as “practical” and “enjoyable to drive”. It looks like we have seen this car in spy photos before. When it arrives, it will ship to all regions where smaller city cars are especially popular, Honda says – Japan, Southeastern Asia, and the UK.

The rest of the show lineup has already been either fully or partially disclosed. There’s an Acura RSX somewhere under those drapes, the new Honda Prelude, assorted CR-V variants, and the latest projects from the company’s motorbike division.
