Bonhams Auctions will hold a sale on January 24th dedicated to a 1996 Hummer H1 that once belonged to Tupac “2Pac” Shakur. Despite its considerable age, the off-roader only has 16,300 km (slightly over 10,100 miles) on the odometer and is said to be in excellent condition.
The famous rapper ordered the vehicle with a bull bar, a winch and a dozen of auxiliary lighting units for driving in poor visibility conditions. He opted for a beige leather cabin with natural wood accents, an AC and a CD player.
Power for the H1 is sourced from a turbocharged diesel engine partnered with a four-speed automatic gearbox. It churns out 205 PS (202 hp / 151 kW) to all four independently suspended wheels and benefits from tall portal axles. Disc brakes at all four corners ensure adequate deceleration.
This Hummer fetched U.S. $337,000 at an auction nine years ago (see video). We expect it to hit a comparable sum this time around, too.
