Jeep refreshes its small and affordable Avenger CUV for Europe

The facelifted Jeep Avenger touches down with a new entry-level engine option, a revamped interior and some minimal exterior retouches. Aside from that, those feeling nostalgic may opt for an anniversary edition dedicated to the American marque’s 85th birthday.

You can tell the 2026 Avenger from its predecessor by the radiator grille (now backlit in the top trim version) and slightly reshaped bumpers at both ends. Customers enjoy access to more standard colors and wheel designs, and can now pay a premium for Adaptive LED Matrix headlights.

The interior layout hasn’t changed much at all, but Jeep claims most trimming materials used throughout are of higher quality. The equipment list now includes optional surround-view cameras.

Both hybrid powertrains that the Avenger used to be available with in Europe are still being offered. The 2WD one has 110 PS (108 hp / 81 kW) and the AWD one has 145 PS (143 hp / 107 kW). As an alternative, there’s a fully electric variant with 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) and around 400 kilometers (248 miles) of range.

The new option comes in the form of a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine devoid of any electrification. It delivers 101 PS (100 hp / 75 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

As for the 85th Edition, it mainly stands out thanks to added gold accents and tartan fabric trim inserts. You can check it out towards the end of the gallery here.
