The new Telluride is scheduled for the LA Show debut on November 20, 2025. Kia has also shared a video teaser that utterly fails to be informative.
It’s not a coincidence that the announcement came from the Korean company’s U.S. branch office. The full-size SUV has been designed specifically for the North American market, the company claims. When the first-generation Telluride went on sale six years ago, it was the marque’s first vehicle of this kind and largely informed its product strategy moving forward.
Early reports suggest that the 2026 Kia Telluride will continue to share the platform with the Hyundai Palisade. Furthermore, it may borrow the angular/techy aesthetic from the current Palisade and get a special off-road edition similar to the Palisade XRT Pro, complete with superior suspension parts and more accessories.
Rumors claim that the new Telluride will also ship with a less powerful engine to keep the lesser versions affordable. We hear it’s going to be a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 290 PS (286 hp / 213 kW) or so. The top spec is expected to utilize a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2.5-liter turbo four-pot at its base and at least 330 PS (325 hp / 243 kW) or better.
