The recently introduced Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear has completed the hill climb track at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 47.14 seconds, surpassing the previous record holder by more than a second.
The car was driven by Markus Lund, who had previously set a similar record with the same car at the GotlandRing in Sweden. As for the previous Goodwood record of 48.83 seconds, it was claimed last year by the U.S.-made Czinger 21C. That car dethroned the electric Rimac Nevera with its time of 49.32 seconds recorded in 2023.
That’s only as far as the street-legal vehicles go, though. The absolute best Goodwood time was shown in 2022 by the all-electric and track-only McMurtry Speirling: 39.08 seconds. It hit the track in a spec called Pure, which starts from £995,000 in the UK before any taxes or shipment costs.
