Like It Or Not: Lamborghini Diablo gets slammed stance, Turbofan wheels

Who in their sane mind would dare take a super-expensive Italian sports car from the 1990s and bag it via air suspension? And then throw in some aftermarket wheels for the hell of it? Why, the Japanese, of course!

Kazuki Ohashi and Tatsuya Yokohama from Madlane processed this particular specimen. First, they upgraded it with an Airrex air suspension kit and Accuair ride height control. Second, they procured a rare set of German-made rad48 KOR Turbofan wheels for the Diablo. While not excessively large (only 17 inches across on the front axle and 18 inches on the rear one), the ultra-wide wheels manage to look highly impressive.

Another highlight of the Lamborghini Diablo Project JOTA is its body kit, which looks completely custom-made and incorporates a front spoiler, side sills, fender flares, and a brand-new rear with a diffuser and a Diablo SV-R-style rear wing. It has to be said that overall, the kit is a big success, until you notice the towing eye in the front spoiler (seriously?) and the fake air intakes in the ‘hood’ (the engine is actually in the back).

We will leave it to you to love or hate this tuning. Those of you who are not faint of heart may also want to know that Madlane had previously done something similar with a Porsche 964, a Ferrari 360, 355 and Testarossa, a Mercedes SL500, and a Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
