Lamborghini has announced a Roadster variant of its Fenomeno coupe: the supercar lands with 1,080 PS (1,065 hp / 794 kW), making it the most powerful Lambo ever. Only 15 examples will be made, though.
Like its fixed-roof counterpart, the Roadster shares its underpinnings with the Revuelto. It comes finished in a nostalgia-inducing shade of blue originally worn the 1968 Lamborghini Miura droptop. Red accents and futuristic forged wheels liven things up a bit, and the side windows are tapered to evoke associations with fighter jets.
The interior more or less corresponds to that of the regular Fenomeno. As for the powertrain, it comprises a naturally aspirated V12 with 835 PS (824 hp / 614 kW) and a trio of electric motors. Working together, they take the Roadster from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.4 seconds and to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 6.8. The ground clearance can be adjusted from the driver’s seat, and carbon-ceramic brakes ensure adequate deceleration.
