JDM-tuned Lambo Murcielago sells for $344k

Most profit-minded car collectors know better than to actually drive their vehicles, let alone tune them. Nevertheless, someone in the United States just forked over $344,000 for a well-used and extensively redesigned Lamborghini Murcielago. If you ask us, it takes being a diehard Liberty Walk fan to splurge on things like this.

The coupe was originally produced for the U.S. market in 2007, but traveled to Japan in 2012 where Liberty Walk slapped it with one of its more extravagant tuning kits. They replaced the whole front end including the bumper, the apron, the hood and the lighting. They also flared the fenders in their trademark “bolt-on” fashion and put an air scoop on the roof. Stock wheels were swapped out for forged aftermarket rims sporting a nine-Y-spoke pattern.

The interior stayed mostly stock with the exception of an added Pioneer audio system and a reversing camera. As an early LP640 model, this Murcielago utilizes a V12 rated at 640 PS (631 hp / 471 kW). Slammed air suspension should make it handle like a different car, though.

A glance at the odometer reveals roughly 32,000 kilometers (20,000 miles) of lifetime use – plenty for any supercar. Well, we sure hope the new owner is satisfied, regardless.
