Once the all-electric Land Rover Defender is ready for market launch, it will enter production at the same industrial complex where the company is currently making its petrol and diesel counterparts, Carscoops reports referencing JLR representatives.
The current Defender generation (shown here) is being produced in Slovakia right now and is the automaker’s single best-selling model. Its battery version is expected to debut within the next two years with some mid-life updates already applied.
The mid-generational refresh should bring along a new architecture, MLA Flex, which the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are based upon.
