Sleek Artemis-tuned Defender can be yours for ~$130k

Customization specialist Artemis has arrived at the Monterey Car Week with the K2, a custom off-roader based on the Land Rover Defender 110 chassis. The engine stays the same, but extra lights, aero parts and equipment make it a tempting ride to consider. Same goes for the retrimmed interior. The price is being estimated between $115,000 and $130,000.

Starting on the exterior side of things, there are bold fender flares, a blacked-out front grille with a LED strip on top of it, LED anti-fog lights and redesigned hood vents. The latter aren’t just for show, the listing claims – they actively help with the engine cooling.

For the occasional trip into the wilderness, the SUV comes equipped with a low-profile, lightweight roof rack fabricated from aluminum and magnesium alloys, a handy access ladder, four nighttime driving lights and a camping set. 22-inch forged wheels with a bright white finish fill out the arches and provide a nice contrast against the black body accents.

The interior makes its best effort to follow the same color scheme, but also inadvertently betrays the nature of the build. See, those pristine, snow-white leather seats are the last thing anybody with any off-roading ambitions would want in a vehicle. We suspect whoever ordered this one didn’t seriously consider taking it off the asphalt.

Power for the Defender is provided by its stock 5.0-liter supercharged V8 pumping out 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque.
