Mercedes-AMG has facelifted its GLA 45 S lineup for the next model year, also updating the infotainment system and adding more trim options while leaving the oily bits under the hood alone.
The front bumper has been reworked, the fender flares painted to match the rest of the body, and the lighting all around updated with new light patterns. Red brake calipers and new 20-inch wheels are now included in the base spec, while paying a premium gets you larger 21-inch rims.
A peek inside reveals a different AMG Performance steering wheel. The infotainment system takes advantage of new, more powerful computational hardware and a revamped UI for a better user experience. The smartphone charger offers higher max charging power, and buyers can now specify new trim options, like brown eco leather.
The new GLA lineup continues to rely on its class-leading 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that pumps out 421 PS (414 hp / 310 kW) and takes the car from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds. The top speed is capped at 270 km/h (167 mph).
