Mansory has come up with an individualization program for the opulent Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Unlike the talented team’s most other projects, this one emphasizes elegance and refinement instead of sporty aggression – and the result is to our liking.
Included in the package are a carbon-fiber front splitter, air intake bezels, side sill extensions, a sleek roof spoiler, another restrained-looking spoiler on the boot lid, and a prominent rear diffuser. The aggression is there, but the car still manages to look respectable and convey the feeling of status – something few tuners can pull off.
A glance at the arches reveals 22-inch wheels sitting tight inside thanks to a mildly lowered suspension. Mansory has a host of trim options ready for the interior, and you get to choose which color and material combination appeals to you the most. Fine leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber are all on the list alongside a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, metallic pedal pads and branded floor mats.
Last but by no means least, owners can opt for a power upgrade. the S580 spec can be persuaded to yield extra 100 horsepower and 120 Newton-meters of torque for a total of 610 PS (602 hp / 449 kW) and 820 Nm (604 lb-ft). Those lucky enough to be driving an S680 may expect even more impressive results, specifically 730 PS (720 hp / 537 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.
